Good Morning Gardiner Hawks! These are your announcements for Tuesday, May 7th

We are on an assembly schedule today.  We will be having a fentanyl awareness assembly.  

We will be holding a student listening session tomorrow, Wednesday, 5/8. This will be held in the community room during both lunches. This is a type of facilitated discussion aimed at collecting information about your middle school experience.

Do you enjoy making art and seeing your ideas come to life? Do you enjoy working on computers and creating digital media?  A career as an animator might be right for you!​​ Animators create a series of images that form the animation seen in movies, commercials, television programs, and video games. They typically concentrate on a specific area, such as characters, scenery, or background design. Animators typically use computer software to do their work. They are members of a team that consists of other animators and artists who collaborate on projects.

Animators’ responsibilities  include:

• Creating expressive character animations portraying a wide range of emotions

• Give and receive constructive, creative feedback across teams

• Collaborate with other animators, clients, and producers

• Brainstorm and conceptualize ideas, and produce concept sketches

Education to become an animator includes a bachelor's degree in animation, computer graphics, fine arts, or a related discipline. 

Animators earn an average salary of $70,000 a year. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that employment of accountants will grow 8 percent due to an increased demand for more realistic animation and visual effects in video games, movies and television, as well as more advanced computer graphics for mobile devices such as smartphone
