The window to refer students for TAG testing is now open until October 9th, 2015. If you are considering referring your child for testing please take a look at the link below. This website effectively shows the differences between very bright, motivated students and students who demonstrate TAG characteristics. If after reading the article you want to refer your child for possible testing please contact me for a TAG referral application form. All applications will be examined by the Gardiner TAG team before recommendations are made for testing.
Dear Gardiner Parents/Guardians and community members:
As you may know, we have been generously awarded the Miller Family Foundation grant to bring AVID to
Gardiner (and Ogden) Middle School this year. Along with going school wide with our organization efforts
through binders and Cornell note taking, we have our AVID elective class. This class is comprised of 24
individuals who have been selected through an application and interview process. These students all meet
CONNECT is a free after school program open to any interested 6th, 7th or 9th grade student at Gardiner Middle School. This program will meet every Monday after school beginning October 19th. Each day students will be provided a healthy snack and thirty minutes for homework time, followed by a large group activity. The last hour of each afternoon will be spent in a specific club with activities run by trained volunteers. OC Junior Girls Basketball will have tryouts this coming weekend, October 3rd and 4th. All 5th grade to 8th grade girls are welcome to try out. Please go to OC Junior Girls Basketball for more information. The waiver must be completed to attend tryouts. Bring your basketball shoes and a water bottle with you. The tryouts will be held at Gardiner Middle School.
